If you have cast all of your spells/Spell-like abilities for the day, can you still use arcane strike that day [without regaining spells/SLA's]? For instance, if you are an Aasimar Barbarian, and you use your racial Daylight SLA for whatever reason, do you still count as being "Able to Cast Arcane Spells"?

Tiny Coffee Golem wrote:Yes. Why wouldn't you?My thought was that if you no longer had any spells you could cast, then for the rest of the day you wouldn't be able to cast arcane spells and thus wouldn't be able to use feats that had that as a prerequisite.
No. "Ability to" does not mean "currently unexpended ability to".

@EvilPaladin: that would mean that if you had a prestige class that required you to be able to cast spells of level X*, that if you cast all of those spells for the day, you would no longer meet the prerequisites for the PrC that day, and that all dependent class levels would shut off. Wouldn't that be a bit silly?
*Like say, Eldritch Knight, Mystic Theurge, Dragon Disciple, Arcane Trickster, Arcane Archer...

Thanks for the help. I had originally thought the same, that disqualifying for feats/PrCs would be silly, but in a discussion the other day with a fellow gamer the question arose, and though we both thought it would probably still work we weren't quite sure, so I thought I'd check[this is relevent to my Bloodrager, who has very few spells/day at the moment].
