For an upcoming game I'm playing a multiclass build that includes levels of wizard and cavalier, and like the title of the thread suggests, I had an idea for a combination of class abilities. My thought had been that with the benefit of the Divination school power Forewarned, I am always able to act on a surprise round, and theoretically I can use my standard action to grant Lookout to the party. So I have two questions:
1) Would this actually work? Can I, as I'm going in the surprise round, trigger Tactician and add other party members who are adjacent to me(or adjacent to other party members who can act in the surprise round) to the surprise round at my init -1 or their own init(if it's lower) and let them act?
2) For those who were already able to act and have gone before me, would they retroactively get a move action from this? Would I, as I triggered this as my standard action, gain a move action?
