The translation of spiritual weapon in french is very unclear so my friends and I are a bit sceptical.
So we read Spiritual Weapon on pathfinder PRD... and we're still sceptical!!!
"If the weapon goes beyond the spell range, if it goes out of your sight, or if you are not directing it, the weapon returns to you and hovers."
As if i'm not directing it, the weapon returns to me and hovers:
Do I need to direct Spiritual Weapon every round to full attack an opponent? ( a move action)
Do I need to direct it when I'm redirecting it to a new target? (double move action ?!?!)

If the weapon is attacking the same opponent it is no action at all.
If it is attacking a new opponent then you only need 1 move action to direct it. Then it attacks on its own.
"Each round after the first, you can use a move action to redirect the weapon to a new target. If you do not, the weapon continues to attack the previous round's target."

Right but
"if you are not directing it , the weapon returns to you and hovers"
The sentences are not exclusives (is it the right word?). It can attack on its own if you use a direct action and continue to attack the previous target if you have'nt use a move action to redirect it. Nowhere is it said it can attack without using an action (On its own = free action = no action?)
(Sorry! Programmer's brain inside)

Programming logic, which I also have does not always do well in pathfinder.
The weapon only returns to you if it is not doing anything.
You still have to consider my previous sentence which says it continues to attack the previous target and also this one " It strikes the opponent you designate, starting with one attack in the round the spell is cast and continuing each round thereafter on your turn."
