My fifth character. For those that didn't see my first character, I am trying to create a full group loosely based on our characters from WoW (and their various re-incarnations in various tabletop games). This is the warrior (fighter, for all intents and purposes). A quiet character who goes about her business and is heavily focused on making sure no one gets hurt. I had a really hard time with this one for 2 reasons. 1) Armor should be a central theme to this character, but armor sucks, and 2) she should be focused on preventing others from being harmed, but I didn't want her abilities to be too much like the priest (character 2)
(No roles at this time, I'm making 6 characters, so that's a bridge I'm not ready for yet)

Brief description: I really don't have a good gauge for how good that second ability is. On the one hand, it allows a lot more chances for them to actually be useful. On the other, it doesn't remove any of their limitations, so you may find yourself with just as many armors stuck in your hand with nowhere to go as before. The first ability is obviously, er, INSPIRED by Meresiel's sneak attack power. I figure that having to use a shield is at least as big a limitation as having to be alone, probably bigger. The third ability was a throw in, because I couldn't think of where to put another power feat, and that seemed like a safe power.
Let me know how it looks!

You could perhaps think about to make it purely shield based, for thematic reasons. It´s easier to block for someone else with a shield, than with your armor.
I thought about something like this.
"Reveal an Armor with the Shield trait to reduce damage dealt to a character at your location by 1 ([]2)."
Powerful against stuff like the Enchantress or the Pyro Goblins, but very restrictive. And you have to think about if you want to hit with your shield, or block with it.

That ability feels very powerful to me, since it's essentially a reflecting shield that can be used on the group, and that is an adventure 4 armor. That being said, it is much cleaner, and probably better overall design (Although the fact that you can reveal a shield to reduce damage, then reveal the same shield to reduce damage from this power, is a bit awkward). Also, one of the major reasons to have the ability as written was to improve deck cycling, since having this much armors risks really clogging your hand, especially if you can't get magic armor quickly.
I think I'm going to try a recharge ability that only works on allies, but stops a set amount. Let me know what you think! Is this better than just being able to use armor on allies?

Would work too. I just wanted to make her choose between keeping a shield for the defence or throwing it for the offence.
Your power works good, and helps cycling.
Another in-theme idea i had was that she really jumps in front of people and tanking the brunt of the attack.
"When a character at your location takes damage, you may redirect all damage to yourself."
Effectivly does almost the same as the first one, and you still can use your armor to reduce damage without it being abstract.
Perhaps adding something like: "If you take more damage than your current hand size, bury the top card of your deck." To not let this power be abused with an empty hand.

We've now run this group through the basic set and adventure 1. Overall, this is a quite strong group, especially when they're together. It's hard to say if that's because these guys are so good together, or they are too strong, but we've been doing some tests on that regard (when we kept everyone at different locations, it was a serious disaster). We've made a few changes, those for Snowdragon are detailed below.
Snowdragon had two changes, both fairly minor. First, her shield bash power cannot be used with 2-Handed Weapons. Second, she cannot use the second power on herself. Both of these were part of the intent of the character, and were corrected to match the intent.
See below link for the cards and tokens.

After Adventure 2, there are no new changes to Snowdragon's character card.
Snowdragon has been something of a quiet workhorse, not providing notable buffs like Isaic or Fennish, and not pulling off remarkable feats like Bishie Huntress or Serpenttongue, but quietly winning combat consistently, and saving damage here and there, and just doing work. If you like Valeros and Amiri, there's a good chance you'll like Snow.

Runelords has been completed with this group! After a break to play another group, we'll be going back to do the other roles, starting at Adventure 4.
Snowdragon went with the Main Tank role. And she really came into her own in the last Adventure. as many of you know, there is a ton of incidental damage in Spires. Snow took the ability to reduce ally damage with weapons in addition to armor, and basically spent the entire adventure with no cards in hand because she kept having to protect allies.
Her shield bash wasn't used as much, since she generally was capable in combat without it, but it may prove more interesting in Champion form, when she'll be able to use it with 2-handers.
As with all updates I've made so far, Snow has continued to be the quiet workhorse. She never seems like she's too powerful, but she always seems useful.
