Starting Equipment - No Real Spoilers Please

Serpent's Skull

We'll be starting Serpent's Skull and our DM let us know we'd be starting on an island away from civilization. He did this so we didn't make characters not suited to the adventure. When I asked if we should bother with starting equipment, he said that our starting equipment would be very important.

So I am looking at what I should buy....

MW Backpack/4/50
50' Silk Rope/5/10

I have the Magical Talent trait and can create water 1/day.
I have survival +7(+8 if fishing thanks to tackle box), Climb +6, Swim +6, Heal +6, perception +9 and diplomacy +7. I don't have knowledge nature.
I can cast cure light wounds.

Anything I really need?

a leech kit maybe, jungles are lousy with insects and disease so anything to combat those is good:)

Liberty's Edge

Your starting gear looks pretty good to me. You already know that you'll need to survive in the wilderness so as long as you are prepared for that in the form of being able to have enough to eat and drink and find shelter you should be doing pretty good.

1 person marked this as a favorite.

Leech kit is for poisons, not disease. But I think I may grab one anyway.
