Mystic Theurge PFS Build help

Advice

Sczarni

hey all i was hoping some one could help me build a MT for pfs i know i probally would want to go oracle and sorcerer and take the aasimar race to get into the prestige class ealier any advice on stats and feats and stuff would be great since i've never played a full caster before lol

I don't think anyone has done a guide for the mystic theurge, but if you search Advice for mystic theurge there are a few threads with advice.

I would use the following 20 pt buy for stats

Str 8
Dex 14
Con 12
Int 10
Wis 10 (8 +2 racial)
Cha 20 (18 +2 racial)

or you could go
Str 8
Dex 14
Con 14
Int 12
Wis 12
Cha 18 (16 +2 racial)

You can go Peri-Blooded Aasimar and trade out Daylight for Pyrotechnics to satisfy the 2nd level arcane spell requirement, and take the Trickery domain to satisfy the 2nd level divine spell requirement. Use the Pyromancer racial trait to get +1 damage to spells with the fire descriptor, and you can focus on fire spells. Here's a possible list of feats:
1 Improved Initiative
3 Combat Casting
5 Spell Focus- Evocation
7 Augment Summoning
9 Spell Penetration
11 Sacred Summons or Dazing Spell

You can change around the feats, but a mystic theurge is at a disadvantage for concentration checks and for beating spell resistance so combat casting and spell penetration are good to have. If you take dazing spell you can combine that with magic missile and hit five targets with a dazing spell effect, I believe the spell focus adds to the save DC.

I made a mistake, the Peri-Blooded Aasimar gets +2 Int and +2 Cha instead of +2 Wis and +2 Cha. With point-buy it's easy to move points around. For traits, I'd recommend Reactionary and Magical Knack (sorcerer), and go Oracle 2/Sorcerer 1/Mystic Theurge 9.

If you're going for Min/Max and not RP, I'd suggest going with the Legalistic curse for Oracle from Blood of Fiends. As long as you don't let your self get pigeon holed into a promise it's the least debilitating of the curses. Even if you do break your oath it's still only 24 hours worth of badness unlike others where the curse is active 24/7.

For Mysteries I'd suggest going with Lore or Nature. That way you can get the Sidestep Secret or Nature's Whispers revelations. Those both let you add Cha to your AC bonus instead of Dex and unlike most revelations they aren't based on your Oracle level for scaling.

ooo wow i never knew how cool a oracle was lol, being able to use cha for knowledge checks and ac is so cool lol, hmm how would i aquire the second lv spells for each though if i went with the Lore mysteris?

Sczarni

hmm i may just end up making a oracle seeing how cool they are XD
