Mithyc paladin - WotR campaign

Advice

Hi all,
i'm playing the WotR campaign with a paladin char (oath against fiends) and currently i'm level three. I'm starting to think about the mithyc build (also the normal build) of the pc and i'm here asking for your advice.

Currently lvl.3
- Power attack
- Cleave
- Child of the Crusade trait

I'm going sword and board, just for flavor, and i don't like to min/max :) Can you suggest feats (normal/mithyc) and eventually a build? I'm reading about the marshal and the guardian at the moment.

Thanks all!

What are your stat lay outs and race? What kinda feats did you plan to take you are getting to level 20 with this campaign. That means your going have 11 Feats if your not a human and staying pure Paladin.

I would avoid the Marshal as that is typically for someone who likes to support and boost his group. I recommend Defender or the Champion Mythic Hero.

From Champion Path abilities:
Mythic Smite- Never run out of smites....Ever....Smite everything.
If you are not Going Champion I recommend the feat Dual Path and grabbing this Ability...this makes a paladin SOOOOO strong.

Since you have Cleave already (I hate the feat) you might as well take mythic Cleave and skip any more normal cleave feats as mythic Cleave will hit anyone in your reach regardless where they stand which makes it better then Great cleave and your not bogging down your build with useless feats.

If you do not have a Cleric/oracle who is taking Divine Interference then at level 13 you qualify for it. The mythic Version of the feat is pretty good too. Negating critical hits will help you stay alive a lot longer. The mythic version is great but not a necessity.

My Mythic Choices for Guaranteed success:
Mythic Power attack
Mythic Vital Strike
Mythic Improved Critical

Mythic Vital Strike is awesome...Your going sword and board non-2 weapon fighting route...I recommend picking up Vital strike as soon as it becomes available. The mythic Vital strike route multiplies all your bonuses...even smite damage. It hurts a whole lot more then the original Feat. A lot of players will agree this feat is Insanely crazy.

When I played Wrath of the Righteous I was an Archmage. Our Scythe Fighter took all 3 of those feats I mentioned and never regretted it. His damage was ridiculous. Also him having a 38 strength by level 9 helped....A LOT. But that's easy to accomplish when you have a crafting Archmage that will craft you everything you need for 40% of cost. Yeah I said 40....I was doing better then doubling the groups wealth...only thing you paid 50% on was upgrading your own legendary weapon with up-gradable.

I will also recommend the Universal path ability of Legendary Item...One of the strongest Path abilities in the book when done right.
