Does a Fire Cleric's firebolt domain power count as an Evocation spell for Varisian Tattoo? Does it count as a [fire] spell for Pyromaniac gnome?

It's not a spell, it is a supernatural ability, so, no, it won't work with anything that only works with spells. On the plus side, being a supernatural ability means that it's not subject to spell resistance.

It works with Pyromaniac because Pyromaniac says it works with the granted powers of the Fire domain.

It's listed as (Sp) though, not (Su).

Huh.

See, I would have said "(Sp) aren't spells", but there's now a FAQ ruling saying that they at least sometimes count, at least for prerequisites.

It doesn't have a school listed, so I'd say Universal.

Huh, turns out my group has been playing it wrong for years. Many golems unjustly felt the sting of my cleric's firebolt cutting through their immunity to magic.

Still doesn't count as an evocation though. If it's a home game, I'd think it'd be pretty easy to sell many a GM on it though.

Does SR block spell-like abilities?

Yeah.

Yes it does. Which is what had me wondering about it. I was trying to beat SR and was desperate for any boosts I could get to try and make the CL check.
