Two quick questions

1)If you play a blessing to explore again and it matches the blessing discard pile, can you recharge it? Or does that only apply to the power?

2)This one is a bit vague because I can't remember the name of the location, but in adventure 5 there is a location that only allows you to "play" one card per check, regardless of type. Can I play a weapon and recharge a card to use Merisels ability?

1) Yes, that works too. Discarding it to explore is a power on the card just like discarding it to add dice to a check is a power on the card. If it matches and you play it for any reason and are discarding it, recharge it instead.

2) It is the Festering Maze of Sloth. And yes you can do both. You are playing the Weapon, but Merisiel's power isn't playing a card. Playing a card means activating the powers on that card.

Rulebook v3 p9 wrote:

Playing a card means activating that card’s power by revealing, displaying, discarding, recharging, burying, or banishing that card. Doing something with a card that does not activate that card’s power does not count as playing that card.

And since Merisiel's power doesn't activate the powers on that card, it doesn't count as playing the card. And the Festering Maze of Sloth doesn't say anything about powers, just about playing cards.

Just some preemptive info: Seoni's innate fireball power DOES count as playing a spell card.
