Two quick questions

Skull & Shackles

first is the lashes-do the givers of the lashes need to actually overcome the AC? Like if Scourge is dealing out 3 lashes, does he need to roll to hit, or do they hit automatically? One thing I wasnt too sure about.

Well then there's the second, lol. Where can I find the stats for the Wormwood and Man's Promise?

Since the character is tied to the mast for lashings, no Scourge doesn't need to roll to hit. Just roll the damage.

Both the Wormwood and the Man's Promise are listed as using the statistics for a sailing ship. Ship types are listed in the Skull & Shackles Player's Guide.

Excellent! Thanks, was going nuts trying to find that lol

I disagree with this. A person tied to the mast and stripped of armor for a lashing (so the whip can actually hurt him) would have the helpless condition.

So, the character loses his armor and shield bonuses to AC (but would retain natural armor). Since the character is helpeless, he would have a dexterity of 0 so that he loses his Dex and Dodge bonuses and his AC takes a further -5. The flogger also gets an additional +4 to his attack bonus.

It's very unlikely the flogger would miss as this should put the bound character's AC at about 5 and the +4 attack bonus means almost any roll hits, but on a roll of a natural 1, he still misses. If the flogger swings and misses, it still counts towards the character's owed lashes.

I believe under the NPCs or under the punishments it does say to roll a d20 and on a 1 the lashing misses. And the crew then mocks the punisher, just read it over the weekend.
