Canonically, Runelords starts on Rova 23, 4707 AR, the first day of autumn. Five years have passed since the Late Unpleasantness as you note.

I don't own the Beginner Box, so I don't know where the events of facing down Blackfang falls in that.

When I ran RotRL, I introduced the players (all noobs to both Golarion and Pathfinder) by running the Blackfang stuff out of the beginner's box (with some alterations, the Longsword of 'too good for 1st level pc's' was changed to be a sword with a charge of dragonbane, so it functionally worked the same, but after the encounter was just a +1 Longsword.) I make it a few weeks before the AP. It was cool, and since we do not use exp, it was easier to justify.

Thank you. Right now I am running the bb I set a start date of 3 moonday Gozran im trying to give my self room to work with the BB stuff before moving on to rise of the rune lords if it all works out

It doesn't have a set date; Runelords has a nominal start date of 23/9/4707; I'm running it in autumn 4708 myself.

The main thing is that Runelords starts with the autumnal equinox Swallowtail Festival, so if you are running Black Fang as a prelude it's probably best to set it a few weeks or months previously.
