How much damage does a falling whale do?

Rules Questions

K so I'm having a new player join my game who is gonna be a 11 level Druid. Here's the thing. He has this crazy hilarious idea for an attack.

First off, he turns into a small bird. Then he flies pretty high into the air, maybe 100 feet or 50. Then he turns into a whale (whale are huge sized right?) and slams onto a horde of grounded unlucky enemies. (Alternatively he could just jump off of a high ledge and then turn into a whale, skipping the bird part.)

Now my question here is, how much damage should this do? I'm thinking it would do more damage to the enemies the higher the fall is. But it would also hurt him more the higher up he does it too. So there is a trade off here.

Oh no, not again...

Scarab Sages

Did the bad guys happen to be marching in formation with pikes.

I'm sure they were and you just forgot to mention it.

That was the bowl of petunias, I think.

Oh snap this has been brought up before? Sorry bout that. But I do need help....

Scarab Sages

Start by inflicting 20d6 damage on the player.

I suggest leaving them in the bag when you hit him.

Crap fall damage is rough. Leaving who in the bag though? Body bag?

You'd think, but dealing 10D6 damage that cannot be reduced by DR (at least I'd assume; otherwise it would be considered bludgeoning) would only cost 10 damage tops with the right item(s).

Ironic how a 1,000 gold item makes such a silly build seem viable and effective in the game...

Next Druid I'm making, I'm doing that; transform from puny insect to gargantuan death-from-above behemoth, crushing all who oppose. And the worst thing that will happen to me is I break a nail.

Judging by the responses, I think I'll just inflict the appropriate fall damage to both the player and the enemies. Should be fair enough. Can't wait to see him do this!

Thanks for the responses!
