Greetings Everyone,
Ok I am not sure where to start with the online gaming.
I use to be a pretty avid AD&D DM. Me and a small group of friends use to play a ton back in HS. I remember 3rd edition coming out, but I was too invested financially in AD&D to bother with the switch.
I have not played for 15+ years. I have played Dungeons & Dragons Online for the last 4-5 years.
So combined with the two I am well versed in the core concepts and ideas of the game. I certainly lack a lot of the polish and specifics of the game as it's changed.
I am wanting to get back into P&P and image my joy in finding that there is a ton of online gaming going on now. I have discovered Roll20 and have created an account and am trying to get involved in a couple of campaigns.
I am not totally clear on what PFS is and how it works. Seems it is sort of like a bit of a tournament type of play and character advancement.
I am just looking to do some gaming. Starting off with some playing, preferably with Roll20 cause it looks pretty awesome. I suspect I will get back into DMing here soon, but want to start off with playing to get my feet wet and relearn and learn the systems.
Is there any campaign that I could join, or anything that can point me in some good directions or anything of the like. It is seeming a bit overwhelming and difficult to get started in some campaigns and games.
Any help and direction would be very much appreciated.

Freewolf, some advice:
Get a Warhorn account. Warhorn is used by many here on the forums to set up the table on their campaign so they don't have to check back here and repost, they simply set a table size and Warhorn will fill the schedule when people RSVP.
Check this forum and the posted Warhorn or forum signups for games. Also get with your local PFS peeps on Meetup.com, Facebook, etc to see if people meet in person in your area. Northern VA has several meetups a week run by different DMs at different game shops for instance.
Make sure your video camera and microphone work with multiple connectivity programs like Skype, voice servers like Mumble, Ventrillo, TeamSpeak, etc. Get familiar with them because some people have favorites.
Be prepared to be adaptable. Most of us who are DMing here use one virtual tabletop or another. Roll20 is great and is getting bigger - and has Google Hangouts (voice/video) embedded into the campaign launch. However, just be flexible and test your connections as early as you can if it's a new program so games can get going when people arrive on headset.
As for what PFS is, like AD&D, 3.5, etc, this is the organized - sanctioned play of Pathfinder. There are more restrictions, more streamlined content, logged fame and prestige that you can use. Take a look at the guide to organized play. The content in the game is very restricted and the rules are followed very closely in comparison to some homebrews. It is great for getting introduced into the game and for playing with both experienced and new excited players.
There are some meta-game things in PFS, since you buy all your own gear, no gear 'carries over' from sessions, many people carry wands of cure light wounds bought with their first 2 prestige points.
In many games, random players mean random classes, and that means sometimse having no healers except those wands. It also means people are less willing at times to expend resources willy nilly. They are less likely to use a personal wand or scroll if see a combat is going pretty easy on the group. Things usually have to get rough before people expend resources to save a group.
You may also be required to show your own source material. Technically, every feat and equipment item you use should be in your own books or in a 'watermarked' .pdf showing that you bought it and can produce it to a GM should he question a rule or ability.
Pay attention to these little things as you go into PFS with open eyes. I've seen recently people who didn't have PFS explained after not playing for years show up to an organized play event and be shocked they couldn't make this character or use that feat.
