So I am in need of assistance to build my cleric. I want to play a Necromancer (Cleric not any other class) but I am totally lost and confused. I looked at the guide to the classes but did not see an evil cleric necromancer build. Can someone help me with this?
The following is info that I know:
Stats are 18, 18, 17, 16, 14, 12 can be put in any order.
Will be level 7.
Other party members include: barbarian, 2 rogues, evil paladin, & fire mage.
I am playing as a dhampir.
The campaign is all undead. So we will be fighting undead 95% of the time and it will end once we hit level 20.
I want to be able to control undead that we fight. I will need a way to determine that they are undead (perhaps a spell can do that?).
What spells should I take?
What magic items should I try to get?
What domains should I choose?
I was thinking of playing as lawful evil -advice on this is welcome.
Thanks,
+J

First Lawful evil is the best party Friendly Evil choice.
Your stats are fine to be good at necromancy.
Advice:
Stats for a Dhampir Undead Lord:
Str: 12 Dex: 14(16 after racial) Con: 17(15 after racial)
Int: 16 Wis: 18 Cha: 18 (20 after racial)
Your not going to need melee abilities of ANY kind. You have 2 rogues, a Paladin, a Barbarian to take the front lines....You also have your undead minions. You should just sit back and Buff/Debuff. Don't even worry about a weapon beyond a rejected drop. and even then your undead are better off Using those.
As for the Cleric you will want the Archetype Undead Lord.
The bonus feats will highly be needed for being a good necromancer. You could go straight Cleric with no archetype but the Archetype just makes you a stronger necromancer.
I recommend the Feat Craft wondrous Item to be in your feat selection. A lot of Necromancer items are hard to find on the open market and they are expensive to boot. Make them at Half price and no need to worry about Finding items.
spells Will be given by your Domain. Desecrate is a good spell. Choosing spells based off your undead you have is also good. Have one with Scent? Use obscuring mists or darkness.
