Moving into and allied occupied square

Can a person move into then out of an ally occupied square in order to provoke an attack from an enemy?

If you move out of a square that is threatened by an enemy then you provoke an Attack of Opportunity. The square having an ally in it does not change that.

Note: other things could change this (such as cover, total concealment, acrobatics, etc.).

Ok, what I'm wanting to know is, if there are only 3 squares in existence, and I'm in one, the monk is in the one next to me and the enemy is in front of me. Can the monk "move" into my square and back into the one he started in?

You can move through allies' squares without trouble, if that's what you mean.

Yes, he can do that. Yes, it will normally provoke.

What about the cover rules?

Kinevon, if you read up a couple posts I already pointed that out. Do you have a specific scenario to analyze regarding cover?

I may be misunderstanding a rule, but doesn't the ally whose square you are moving into and out of provide cover for you?

Kinevon, without a special ability to do so, no.

Friend: You can move through a square occupied by a friendly character, unless you are charging. When you move through a square occupied by a friendly character, that character doesn’t provide you with cover (see page 195).

Thanks, that was what I had missed.

Too many rules systems, not enough free RAM. And I need to upgrade my hard drive, but it is out of warranty. IOW: My memory runneth over.
