Obediences

Grand Lodge

Just to clarify, the Obediences from Inner Sea Gods are legal? If so, how do we go over this with our GM. The additional resources indicates that they would be legal, as they are in chapter one for every god. They appear to be permanent, powerful buffs to your character. Am I mistaken?

The additional resources is updated with info on what books are legal, and which sections of books are legal for PFS play.

Here's the snip about Inner Sea Gods.

Quote:
Equipment: all equipment and magic items on pages 250–271 are legal except father’s forgehammer, gray gambler’s hat, and preklikin’s book of cults; Feats: all feats on pages 204–217 are legal; Gods: all of the gods listed in the appendix are legal choices except daemon harbingers, great old ones, infernal dukes, malebranche, nascent demon lords, orc deities, outer gods, qlippoth lords, and whore queens; Misc.: all material in chapter 1 is legal except pages 92–99; Prestige classes: the evangelist, exalted, and sentinel prestige classes are legal for play. The evangelist prestige class may not be taken as an option until 6th level; Spells: all spells on pages 228–245 are legal except ghoul hunger, spawn calling, and transplant visage. All variant spellcasting on pages 19–171 are legal except page 99; Subdomains: all subdomains on pages 224–227 are legal except arson; Traits: all traits on pages 218–223 are legal.

Deific Obedience is on page 210, so it is legal for PFS play.

Due note, however, that some of the obediences are going to be difficult to perform with any regularity, which means that the boons granted by the obedience won't be a constant thing, as you must perform the daily obedience to gain the benefit for that day. Fewer still, like Lamashtu's, I imagine will be impossible to perform without shifting your alignment.

Quote:
Sacrifice an unwilling living creature in the name of the Mother of Monsters. Draw the process out to inspire the maximum terror and suffering in your victim.

Given that it has been clarified that torture is evil in PFS, so too is performing this obedience (as I understand it).

Note that the pages that include Lamashtu's obedience are not legal for play. That was the obedience that Mike and I determined was incompatible with PFS play. Those of other evil deities were tame enough or offered suitable alternatives to fulfill their respective obediences.

Whoop! My mistake. Thanks Mike and John!
