Prerequisite: Tenebrous Spell.
Benefit: An umbral spell gains the darkness descriptor. As long as the spell is in effect, the creature or object affected radiates darkness in a 10-foot radius, reducing illumination similar to the effects of the darkness spell. Nonmagical sources of light, such as torches or lanterns, do not increase the light level in this area. Magical light sources only increase the light level in an area affected by an umbral spell if they are of a higher level than the umbral spell’s unmodified spell level. This effect does not stack with itself or with any other effect that creates darkness.

The combination has been around for a while.
Wait until the OP reads Shadow Grasp.
I don't know how that would interact with the wearer.
I do know that a kobold would do well with this though

I'd throw it on Mage Armor just so you can have the extra protection, too.
+2 level increase for Umbral, +0 to make it Tenebrous since it's now a darkness spell (may as well) -1 for magical lineage or wayang spellhunter (or I suppose -2 for bothbut there's a bit of cheese in there) = +1 (or +0)
I'm also thinking about using this with an animal shaman druid, for human enemies it'd be pretty wretched to reduce a creature's required level, and then raise the spell up one
Use with Animate dead creates sort of horror too, you ARE the crypt

You are never impeded by the effects of your spells modified by this feat.
