Sandpoint Sewers?

Rise of the Runelords

One of my PCs is big on constructing buildings. I've been diving into Ultimate Campaign to try to keep up with him. Can anyone tell me if Sandpoint has a sewer system? I need an answer for him on if his building will be able to have sewer access.

I do not believe so....there is some ancient chambers and passages from far before Sandpoint but as for sewers, I don't believe so. I thought that being so small of a town and so close to water that they went with the open sewers that are part of streets in some areas and using pots/buckets to haul waste in the less built-up areas.

I think, there is no such thing there. No mentions of it in AP, and I presume it's logic, because it's a very young town, and it wasn't planned with immediate need of a sewer system. And even if there were a sewer, how would builders avoid catacombs? They're not so deep underground, and right under a part of the town.

Sandpoint does not have a sewer system. They DO have a network of smugglers' tunnels running under the town though, so that might work instead.

In terms of sewage disposal I think Gorvi and his guys just drive around with honey wagons and when they are full they dump them over Junker's edge.

That's my take on it, Peet. Gorvi's crew probably make a pretty penny as night soil merchants as well as selling off the useful bits of what people throw away.

Junker's Edge is Seven Tooth's heaven!

Given the information on Gorvi and the dissapproval of Hannah, constructing a sewer system--using the smuggler tunnel as starting point--might make for a great story arc!

I see that James thinks it is reasonable to dump all the sewage into the catacombs, just like I suggested. And it is not my fault that Sandpoint really needs a magical academy to round it out. Blame James for not putting one there in the first place. I am only building it because it needs to be built. :)
