Pathfinder Player Companion

Any possibility we could see a player companion book that compiles all the traits in one place?

Ultimate Campaign had nearly everything, didn't it?

As soon as they print the next round of books, there will be more traits. An online database like PFSRD is more useful for finding everything in one list because it's updated with new releases.

@Apocryphile true except for the newest ones, but a smaller companion sized paperback would be easier to pass around the table.

@Joana true, but I don't have any way to access it except for my PC.

Liberty's Edge

Isn't a PC exactly how it's supposed to be accessed? Works fine for me at least.

Gods forbid there come a day without proper books.

PC works fine....except it isn't very portable and also tough to pass around at the gaming table.

Liberty's Edge

Well, this may be a little presumptuous since I don't know your economic situation, but could it maybe be possible that one person in your group could have a tablet and the group could pass that around instead? You only need one person to own one after all.

Another possibility could be, if you do your gaming in your living room, to reposition your television so the entire group can see it, and use it as a secondary display for your PC.

Honestly there are SO MANY traits that even if they weren't being constantly updated, trying to find anything relevant in a book would be pretty tough anyway. Websites like Archives of Nethys is by far the best interface to traits and I really do think that the best solution would be to find out whatever sort of computer arrangement would work for your group. Whether it's tablets, or laptops, or having a PC next to your gaming table or whatever.

Having said that, I of course wouldn't oppose the publication of a "Complete Book of Traits", or a "Complete Book of Feats", or for that matter a "Complete Book of Archetypes and Class Abilities" (Hexes, Mysteries, Mercies, Bloodlines, etc). And I probably would buy the hell out of them too.

My master file of traits runs to over 100 pages. Remove the formatting and we're still looking at around 60 pages or so. It's too much to put between two covers.

True, but PFSRD is "setting neutral", and a lot of things get their names changed to fit that.
