A question regarding Sorcerer, spells known / per day and metamagic

Hello all, I'm very new to this game and while making a character I had a question I could not get answered through googling/reading the rulebook. I might very well have missed it if so my apologies.

The situation:

I'm making a sorcerer who, at level 1, can obviously only know 4 x lvl 0 spells and 2 x lvl 1 spells but she can cast 3 x lvl 1 spells per day + her charisma(20) modifier of +5 gives her access to another 2 x lvl 1, 1 x lvl 2, 1 x lvl 3, 1 x lvl 4, 1 x lvl 5 spells. But she cant learn these level spells as that chart is unaffected by Charisma.

Now the question:

Can I use Metamagic Feats on level 1 spells to use up those level 2,3,4,5 per day slots even though I cant know level 2,3,4,5 spells yet? And do the "bonus spells per day" even give you actual spells per day for spell levels that you would otherwise not have access to through "known spells" nor "spells per day"?

I hope that made sense, sorry if it's a stupid question.

You do not get the bonus spells until you can cast spells of that level.

You don't get bonus spell slots until you have regular spell slots of that level.
