Hey everyone I wanted to run a build by you all. Please let me know what you think.
The basic intent is a Human Fighter (will be viking later...but the archtype does nothing at level 1). He is a member of a group of warriors designed to protect a coalition of small towns and villages in a frontier area. They are all trained to be self sufficient, since they are not a large brotherhood. As a result they all learn basic hedge-magic.
We rolled stats and I came up with: Str 17, Dex 15, Con 16, Int 17, Wis 14, Cha 13.
Arcane Dabbler (mending and Arcane run) 1/day each
Human: Improvisation (+2 to all skills without ranks);
Fighter 1: Opening Volley (+4 to next melee attack by next round after dealing damage with ranged attack)
1 rank in each of the following: Climb, Handle Animal, Intimidate, Knowledge(engineering), Ride, Survival, Swim. *improvisation for others
General Information:
Javelin: +3 for 1D6 + 3
Battleaxe: +4 for 1D8 +3
HP: 14 (10 + 1 favored class + con)
AC: 17 (4 armor, 1 shield, dex 2)
Essentially fights by leading with a javelin and waving in with his axe.
Outside of combat he is trained to do quite a bit. He and his brothers have been trained to learn quickly: Trial by Error.
The build will be Fighter (viking).
Feats: fighter2 (dodge). Lvl 3 (improved improvisation).
Skills: pretty much investing in those chosen for a while since by lvl 3 he will have +4 in all skills without ranks.
What do you all think? Where do you see my biggest weaknesses? Any suggestions?
Thanks guys.

What was the point of learning hedge magic for this group of warriors? The listed spells are largely useless IMO why not take reactionary or armor expert? You know something a warrior would find useful in his training to become a warrior and kill things. As a flavor choice still don't get it but OK.

Ciaran -- The extra skill rank comes from "Fast Learner". He will be gaining 1 skill rank and 1 Hitpoint per level of fighter.
Also as for why not a magus. I was not thinking of them as mages, but simply warriors that had picked up a tiny bit of magic to help them along the way. Prestidigitation is very useful for cleaning weapons and armor, or producing various effects that may make life easier. Mending is useful for repairing weapons and armor. (he only has 5 javelins and they need to last).
Arcane mark involves a fluff point I accidentally deprived you all of. As the post says, eventually this build will acquire rage (viking subtype). In game this will translate as a righteous anger that allows the warrior to fight and win where before they could not. It allows one man to tackle foes that he shouldnt be able to tackle. Arcane mark will be used by these warriors to mark their shields each time rage is required to defeat a foe. This way when other brothers see each other they have some idea as to the dangers that they have faced and the degree of danger posed to their towns and villages.
Thanks guys.
