Infiltrator archetype: Missing an ability?

Rules Questions

1 person marked this as FAQ candidate.

I was looking over the infiltrator archetype for the ranger and noticed that while the adaptation ability replaces favored terrain, there's nothing to replace camouflage, which relies on the favored terrain ability to function. Seems this archetype is being shorted an additional ability to make up for it.

This is indeed true. If I were DMing, I'd give the infiltrator either up to 4/day Disguise self, or a Stealth buff, starting from 3rd lvl, giving +2 to Stealth, which is the same as the Stealth they get from the Favoured Terrain, but without the other bonuses from terrain. Just my 2 adamantine coins.

I was under the impression that your altered form counted as your favored terrain for purposes of camo and other favored terrain bonuses

Ah, okay. Hasn't been added to the errata yet then.

as far as I can tell the pfsrd has it errata'd

d20pfsrd has, yes. However, the PRD does not include the errata in the infiltrator entry.
