Alchemist tank build (PFS legal)
Half-Orc, full time alchemist (since I want mummification at lvl 10)
Great axe as weapon of choice
Str: 18 (racial here)
Dex: 14
Con: 14
Int: 14
Wis: 9
Cha: 7
Traits: reactionary and something else, maybe indomitable faith
Lvl’s
1. Feat: Ferocious Resolve (gain the ferocity universal moster ability)
2. Discovery: preserved organs (25% negate sneak attacks and crits)
3. Feat: extra discovery (preserved organs, 50% negate sneak attacks and crits)
4. Discovery: lingering spirit
5. Feat: Power attack
6. Discovery: Wings (or something else)
7. Feat: extra discovery (preserved organs, 75% negate sneak attacks and crits)
8. Discovery: open (thinking of spontaneous healing, to add healing touch latter)
9. Feat: open (thinking of healing touch, to double up on spontaneous healing)
10. Discovery: mummification
11. Feat: open

Any thoughts?

How are you getting the weapon proficiency (and if you're tanking, I assume you'll want more than light armor as well)?

Dumping Wis is a bad idea, since you already have bad Will saves. Although a hedgehog tumor familiar can help a bit.

If you really want to tank, you should go with a Dex build, take discoveries for extra natural attacks, and pick up an agile amulet of mighty fists ASAP.

Some armor would be nice. You could go for a breastplate, which allows for a +3 DEX bonus to AC. A tank in light armour doesn't make sense ;)
It might be best to spare one point for 10 wisdom, as your will saves aren't the best as an alchemist. If you lower Str by one, you can get 10 wis and 15 int/dex/con.
for other empty feats: toughness? dodge?

Half-Orcs are proficient with great axes.

I guess I could go:
Str: 17 (racial here)
Dex: 14
Con: 14
Int: 14
Wis: 12
Cha: 7

and at lvl 3 I could get medium armor prof

but I want strength high to keep damage output at an okay level to keep interest on me.

dont really want to do natural attacks

Also keep in mind he can drink a mutagen to get +2 nat armor and use a wand of shield

The Armour Expert trait is great for a light-armoured tank, since you can then use a Mithral Breastplate with no penalty.

that's a great idea, thanks

so I take it that the feats and discoveries are good?
I know light armour can be bad for AC, but if I go typical crazy AC then enemy guess wise and just by-passes me, this way I can keep their attention, put a halt to crit and sneak attack with preserved organs, and use the "fast healing" of the combine spontaneous healing and healing touch. Plus I think that been a living mummy would be cool

thanks for all the comments, but by all means keep up the ideas
