Undersized weapons: Is there a trait to reduce penalties?

Rules Questions

I'm pondering a build idea for some kind of Trench Fighter 3/Mysterious Stranger Gunslinger/Archaeologist Bard build that focuses on using the Double Hackbut and Vital Strike because it sounded cool (even if it's not the best build), but now I have an issue:

Originally I was thinking I would see if the DM would go for an Immoveable Rod mount for my Double Hackbut, but I already have an extreme optimization reputation among my friends; I'm thinking it may make them facepalm, even though I think the DM is inclined to think it's awesome.

With that in mind plan B would be to use a small sized variant of the gun which would not need to be mounted, but would give me a -2 to hit. That's not really a deal-breaker as I'm hitting touch AC, but if there is some way to reduce it I figured why not.

So is anyone aware of an option to reduce the size penalties for using an undersized weapon, either feat or trait?

Bumping, because I'm curious too. Though, in my case, I want to use a small combat scabbard as an off hand weapon for a dex based character.
