[PFS Online Gameday 2] My Enemy's Enemy

Recruitment

Dark Archive

Well Met.

My name is Nebten, and I'm looking for 4 to 6 people who would like to play through the Pathfinder Society scenario, My Enemy's Enemy for PFS Online Gameday 2. It was written by James Olchak, a RPG Superstar 2012 finalist. The description of the scenario is as follows:

Someone in the city of Magnimar is committing crimes and leaving evidence implicating the Pathfinder Society. It falls to the Pathfinders to get to the bottom of it, and what they find may signal the resurgence of an enemy thought long defeated.

This will be run as a legal Pathfinder Society game, so all the characters will earn a PFS Chronicle for their efforts. There is also a chance at earning a gameday boon from the PFS powers that be.

I will run this scenario either under tier 3-4 or 6-7. The tier choice will be picked depending on the characters submitted.

Some ground rules::

* I only want people who are able to post at least once a day, throughout the week. More frequently is welcomed. I move fast as a DM. If the party is in a battle and the PC doesn't act within 48 hours after the monsters act, I reserve the right to bot the PC or have the character go full-defensive.

* When we are ready to "move on" from an encounter/environment I will need at least 2 people to agree on a course of action before moving on with said course of action.

* I reserve the right to roll a skill check, saving throw, AoO, ect for your character. The reason is to keep the pace of the game flowing. If there is an error with the roll, feel free to let me know.

* No meta-gaming, faerie whispering or telling people what they should do during a battle or conversations. Only short phrases should be used on your turn during combat.

* I ask that you do not read spoiler tags that are not in your name.

I will start once I see a group of Pathfinders I want to run that have applied. I use Google Docs for maps. There will be a link at the top of the page.

Please provide a completed character with its PFS number. If you wish, provide a brief narrative along with any other information that "sells" your PC. Please inform me of anything that may seems "extra-ordinary" compared to a character of comparable level (ie: I have +30 to Diplomacy at level 3)

AFK notices: I will be traveling from April 11th through the 18th. This break shouldn't be an issue in completing the scenario since I typically run a quick game. I'm going to assume this maybe an issue with most people since this is Spring Break season.

Any other questions, feel free to ask,
Neb da GM.

Hmm, wish I hadn't played this one already. Great scenario.

Clear!

Sovereign Court

Red Mantis Assassin Assassin is mostly available. He is at 7.2 and our local games are just getting to the point where he might get a game in. I plan to GM this week (so credits can go elsewhere), but after that I might just miss level 7. He is mostly a GM blob, and his profile needs updating (level 7 now).

Hi Neb!

Pavanna is a 4th level negative energy cleric of Asmodus, and ready to go.

Well, with just two players it already looks like an interesting party. Hopefully a couple more adventuring souls will join in the fun.

**tear**

"I tear the aether asunder and will myself into this plane!" Painlord intones, stepping through a rip in time and space and into the recruitment thread. He looks around slowly, divining the true nature of those therein.

"Ziz? Is that your form? And Curaigh?" Painlord utters, surprised. "I am impressed, Nebten. You have acquired some talent. Perhaps me or one of my many forms will embark in this as well."

Painlord walks around the recruitment thread, surveying the area.

He reaches back into the aether to draw forth a large sitting stone.

"I shall ponder my existence here...and which form my mighty attendance will take.," Painlord says, moving to sit upon the stone.

I believe I have a lvl 3 or lvl 7, both fun characters to enjoin. Save my spot.

Pavanna smiles a coy smile, as her eyes slowly blink. Her hand reaches up to touch the choker around her neck which bears the sign of the Archfiend. "Yes my dear Painlord, please join me. I need a new plaything ever since that dreadful journey to Razmirian. That poor half-beast witch couldn't take the love of the Master of Witches. I expect that you'll at least try to accept the Dark Prince's kisses?" As she blows you a kiss, a chill of negative energy tingles over your flesh.

Dark Archive

"Lord of Pain, welcome to our endeavor. Sit and enjoy your fleeting existence a few moments more. What ever incarnation you choose, be warned: the road to glory may end in tears."

Good to have another aboard. I don't mind if you want to edge your bets and place one of your characters in another game in case this one doesn't go off. I'll also leave the option if you want to play with only 3 PCs in your hands as well.

Sovereign Court

"Ahh Painlord! We have not been graced with your presence in years," Was it your meat incarnation? Two years ago? "I should say you are looking well, but to be honest your face seems a little... green.

Mantis will not level up before we start. I should be good to go.

two possibly three...

The Exchange

Painlord continues to sit on his rock, pondering his options.

He lights a dark pipe off Pavanna's channeled energies, leaves of unknown origin smoldering.

He waits for more voices to enjoin, hoping that the promise of this endeavor is met.

Well Beans & Franks, I'm not sure if this will go off. We got a level 4 and a level 7 for sure. Then depending on which way Painlord goes that will determine the tier and the pre-gen if nobody else joins.

I will say that there is a dangerous encounter in this scenario, so a 4 playing in a 6-7 could be dangerous.

Do we want to try to carry on, or just try for next Online Gameday?

Painlord shifts on his rock as if he had just received unwelcome news.

"That is disappointing, but likely the proper call. I shall end my vigil...and so ends my dreams of playing with Ziz," Painlord grumbles.

"Let us hope this online gameday inspires more and better attendance in the next."

Painlord stands and kicks the rock into the aether, preparing to leave himself.

"Nebten, you have been a good host. Curaigh, another time, mayhaps."

Sovereign Court

I'd wager you could get new recruits after the gameday starts :)
I won't give up yet :)

Give me your tired, your poor,
Your huddled Pathfinders yearning to breathe free,
The wretched refuse of your teeming shore.
