I have been playing for about 2 years now and i always build some sort of heavy hitter. I have been wanting to try a new class and went with the magus. I'm not sure when i should take meta magic feats to make my characters spells more powerful. i'm playing as a dwarf level 2 right now. my ability scores are str=14 dex= 15 con=19 int=18 wis= 18 cha=11

I'm totally the wrong person to give you advice and I guarentee more capable people will probably answer you shortly, but I would suggest giving a few more details (if any) about what you're hoping to acheive.
So you're a Dwarf Magus, you've chosen this class because you wanted to try something new, does that mean you want to cast a lot with it? Have you considered just going straight up caster? A cleric is a laugh and a half as a caster and if you just can't keep yourself off the front line, they don't have to worry about spell failure in armor.
I don't think playing a magus necessarily means you need meta magic to be effective and when to get it sometimes depends on how high of a level spell you need to use for the one you want. If you're up front and melee you may find other feats more necessary early on. Any ideas, yet, about WHICH meta magic you want?
So yeah, before looking for too much feat advice, you should tell us what you want to be doing with the character. Does he have a backstory yet? :)

what is your ability score generation method? Your con and wisdom are too high, and either your strength or your dex (depending on your method of primary attack) or both should be higher. Remember a magus is part caster part fighter. You need to be able to do both. In fact its less important to have a high int since generally as a magus you'll be using spells with no save (touch attacks often have no save).
In terms of metamagic feats, you are going to want to wait, it will be a few levels before you can really make use of them, but eventually intensify is very popular combined with shocking grasp and spell strike. But in particular at low levels you should be focusing on options that help you fight better, spell strike and spell combat are fairly pointless if all your attacks miss.
