Inquisitor and the Death Domain

Advice

Silver Crusade

Hey PF people,

Im making an inquisitor for PFS and hes mostly set, but im trying to figure out which domain to go with. I want a true neutral deity so i can cast any aligned spells. He isnt going to be super spellcasterish though. OBviously inquisitors arent but this guy just not much either. Other than some healing and litanys and maybe later on inflict wounds. And buffs. But death domain gives you a 1d6 per round bleed effect equal to half you cleric(inquisitor?) level. And at level 8, you heal from negative energy. That sounded sweet to me, is it a good choice?

Thanks
Primus

Hard to beat conversion inquisition if you want to be less MAD.

It's okay. Inquisitions are generally better for inquisitors as the domains don't grant spells. Healing from channeled negative energy is situational at best, and the bleed effect is nice against things it works on, but there are better domain powers.

LOL...I'm crunching an Inquisitor/Cleric of Norgorber at the minute.
Death, Trickery domains are sweet and look at the Infiltrator archetype.
And there is a feat, Channeling Scourge, which might come in handy building off the L8 Death domain ability.
But Conversion Inquisition is sweet.

I've been having success with an inquisitor with the Repose domain - touch stagger is nice, and AoE immunity to death effects/negative levels is really good at high levels.

Hm alright. Not sure i like any inquisitions, and i dont find Conversion inquisition very good.

It depends on if you want to be good at social skills. It's freaking fantastic if you do. If not, then you are better with something else.

It basically lets you ignore or dump Cha. I don't advocate stat dump but still, that's one less stat to invest in and still be able to fully function in your class role.

Silver Crusade

I already dumped Cha :P i dont find it useful for my characters other than sorcerers. or a Myst Stranger gunslinger. I dont care for social skills, because im not very great at roleplaying. Also, i dont have whatever book inquisitions are in. only got core, APG, inner sea magic, and bestiary 1-2.

Silver Crusade

Are there any archetypes other than vampire hunter, iconoclast, spellbreaker or whatever, and witch hunter? ill check out infiltrator, but i dont like any of those 4. vampire hunter is alright i guess but i dont feel like losing the one thing i dont remember what it is.

Match it up with the Infiltrator Archetype and you can double tap WIS on several of the social skills.

For the OP, many players aren't as good at social skills as their characters are (we're geeks after all right?) There's nothing wrong with telling your GM, "I try and convince them I'm on their side" and just make your role, without feeling pressured to completely roleplay it. This is equally true of that one guy in class who is a smooth talker, but he gives a 7 CHA to all of his characters intending to just roleplay his way through encounters. We don't expect you to roleplay your 19 STR, so why should we expect you to display your 19 CHA in the game either?
