Right now I'm working on redeveloping a S1 PFS halfling paladin/fighter. At the time of the build (early 2010) there weren't archtypes or really options outside of the CRB so with the recent level I'm trying to update him a bit.
Currently a halfling Pal4 (worships Shelyn), Fighter 2
Str 16 (14base + 2belt)
Dex 15 (originally going for fighter armor training, not sure anymore)
Con 15
Int 7
Wis 12
Cha 16
Feats
1 blind fight (ran with the same cleric 1-6 with obscuring mist)
3 Power attack
5 shield focus, fighter bonus (combat reflex)
6 (fighter bonus) Weapon Focus longsword.
With a fresh level and the opportunity to retain two feats (only 11 PP), I'm looking at:
Pal 5/fighter 2 and taking a bonded riding boar.
1) Blind fight (not as useful, might retrain later to lucky halfling)
3) power attack
5) retrained to mounted combat and ride-by attack.
6) weapon focus longsword (refocus @ lvl 4 fighter to lance)
7) spirited charge
8) fighter 3
9) Fighter 4, weapon focus lance (switched from longsword as fighter 4), weapon specialization lance (fighter bonus) Risky Striker.
10) fighter 5
11) Fighter 6 improved crit lance (fighter bonus), open feat (boon companion?)
I'm also looking at adding the Roughrider archtype to fighter. With that I'd bet rid of bravery (useless to a paladin) for dodge/morale to saves (+1 base, +2 at 6 fighter), no armor check penalties to ride, mount will move at full speed with med armor, and +1 hit/dmg while mounted/adjacent.
I like the idea do a halfling knight charging for 3d6 + 39 (3str, 6 power, 2 wpn special, 2 wpn enhancement) without including +18 for large target (3x risky striker) or + 15 smite (30 vs undead, dragons, or outsiders).
Are there any feats I'm missing or things I've overlooked? For the most part my traits kind of suck for this set up, but it comes with an old character coming out of retirement (dirty fighter and expert duelist).

For any Paladin multiclassing to something else, Oath of Vengeance is wonderful. Trading 4d6 of healing for an extra Smite Evil is a truly awesome option to have. Especially when you only have two a day otherwise.
If you have the book for it, Boon Companion will also vastly increase your mount's survivability with this build.

Feats
Blind Fight is still very useful. Specially in the upper levels where you start facing stuff that like to cast Darkness and Deeper Darkness. I'm also a fan of Obscuring Mist in the upper levels. It's very nice when you're facing something with a Reach of 15 and has a BAB of +20ish.
Take a look at some of the Halfling racial Feats in the APG. I believe there's one that give extra damage to creatures larger then you at the cost of AC.
Traits, don't know about retraining for traits.
If you have the Halfling book/pdf. Take a look at Helpful trait. It's a Halfling (racial) trait that gives a +4 bonus to all your Aid other instead of a +2.

With ride-by attack you and your mount no longer provoke attacks of opportunity. But I agree that blindfight would be helpful, especially with an intelligent mount with scent.
As far as APG goes, I think you are talking risky striker, something I'll be taking at 9th.
Almost forgot to mention that the Boar mount will be named Sir Francis.

I was thinking Oath of Vengence but I wasn't sure how that would work with Shelyn and her forgiveness/redemption. I might swing it as I was recently killed charging a dragon I had smited (really a remorhaz, but with a 7int he didn't know better).
