Can anyone tell me how to change text or color on this messageboard? Maybe there is a lesson I can read on this subject?

When you type a message into the box on screen, there are a series of buttons below the box. Below them are some text, and below that is a "How to format your text" followed by a button labelled "show".

It provides the information I think you are after.
