Questions about Writting an Adventure path.

Advice

Im a relatively new dm and have led a party through an adventure i made. If i were to try and send it off to paizo would i need to change the city names i used, seeing as i used the continent of Varissia for my adventure and thus used the names of their cities?

Well, I'm no expert on how submissions work (I think they prefer to only hire their own people for the paths themselves) but I'd say "No". Golarion is their preferred setting, after all.

Now, if you want to get your adventure distributed through Paizo, that's probably another matter. But this really isn't my area of expertise. I can't even get into Wayfinder. ;D

To be honest, I'm not even certain that they are accepting blind submissions at this point in time. That being said though, I would think that you would be able to use Paizo licensed setting information for any submissions. You would not; however, be able to use anything that was published by somebody else and to which Paizo does not have the rights. (like Hogwarts or Tatooine for example)

Ok thanks guys, and if they dont accept it. Oh well id atleast be able to say i tried :P. Im hoping they do enjoy it though im still testing it with a group of players so heres hoping it will work out

Paizo does not read, let alone accept unsolicited manuscripts. It's a liability issue.

If you want to write an adventure for Paizo, become an established freelancer by working your way through the third party circuit, or be one of the top 4-8 in RPG Superstar.

From the FAQ:

Can I send you the Adventure Path/campaign setting/module I wrote to see if Paizo wants to publish it?
Unfortunately, we cannot legally accept unsolicited submissions of content and thus no one at Paizo can even look at the content of such emails. This is to protect ourselves as well as you and your intellectual property from copyright infringement or other potential legal hazards. If you're interested in writing for Paizo, the best way to get a foot in the door is by taking a look at our Pathfinder Society Quest open call , our annual RPG Superstar talent search contest, or by writing for other publishers and getting in touch with us after earning some publishing credits.

You'd be better off putting your time into reading more about getting published if this is something you really want to pursue.

Good luck if you do decide to pursue stuff like this, though!
