Characters Playing in Scenarios Between Module Sessions

I saw a line in a thread on these boards from Mike Brock dating back to 2011 that said that characters playing in a module are not allowed to be in another scenario until the module ends.

Is this still the case? If not, what happens to the character in the module should he die in the scenario between module sessions?

It is still the case. Precisely to prevent that sort of issue.
