Item Questions

Rules Questions

Just a question about two items:

What exactly does a Reversable Cloak doing terms of helping in giving "aid a quick appearance change as part of a disguise"

And what exactly does a Gear Maintenance Kit do?

These are items for use by groups that want to take the time to play more to real-world expectations than pure rules.

Example with the reversible cloak: You're presence at a dinner party has been fairly obvious, but now need to disguise yourself from the servants while you sneak through the manor house.

Mechanics are, a disguise check says you no longer look like you. Real-world says that those rather stylish, distinguished clothes you're wearing stand out, even if you do a little face-paint. The reversible cloak takes you one step away from that. It's the same pants & vest, but hey! the blue-and-silver cloak is maroon and gold now.

Same basic thing with the gear maintenance kit. If your GM likes the idea of recognizing that your clothes are cut, dirty, and torn after a long day of adventuring (or you do), then this kit allows you to argue that you have the tools to maintain your gear (including clothes).
