bypassing DR with enhancements

Rules Questions

after looking through a number of threads on different things, i keep seeing people talk about bypassing certain specific types of DR (such as cold iron) by having an Enhancement level higher than +1 for each specific DR type.

is this a PFS rule or just a common houserule? because i can't find this anywhere on the SRD or in the Core Rulebook.

Look under the rules for Damage Reduction. There's a table.

in the CRB? cause im not finding it. got a page number?

[EDIT] nevermind. i finally found it.....thanks

+1 overcomes DR/magic
+3 overcomes DR/silver and cold iron
+4 overcomes DR/adamantine (but not hardness)
+5 overcomes DR/alignment
+6 overcomes DR/epic

It's described in the Core Book.

Here ya go!

That distinction about the +4 bonus not overcoming hardness if important to keep in mind, by the by. I generally buy an adamantine weapon just for overcoming hardness, even though the +4 could overcome DR/Adamantine.

I find Hardness comes up more often than DR/Adamantine, actually.
