Looking for other classes like the Time Thief

Anyone know of any for 3.5/Pathfinder and have you played them?

Ron Lumdeen wrote a timebender class for use which is a martial time-user class.

Endz did not like it; apexut liked it.

I played on in the playtest of Purple Mountain VII and enjoyed it quite a bit.

Timebender

Not sure about base classes, but there are two prestige classes for 3.5 in Temporality: the Temporalist and the Fated.

I wrote that book awhile ago but will be happy to answer any questions about those PrCs. The book also takes the best OGC of the day to help make this the best time travel resource possible (I could be biased). :-D

Mechanically like the Time Thief: Rite's Luckbringer. TPK Games' Malefactor also falls somewhat into this area of support-char with tricks.

I've had gaming experience with all of them and consider them well-made, for whatever that's worth.

Can you give us some guidance on what you are looking for, and what similarities you want?

For example:
Do you like the Time Thief and want more classes with similar mechanics (in which case, see Endzeitgeist's post above)?
Do you dislike the time thief, and want a different chronomancer class?
Do you like the time thief, but still want more chronomancy options?
Do you like the time thief, and just want more 3pp classes that do something totally different than any Paizo class?

Consider your answers carefully. When Owen K.C. Stephens asks questions like this, it means that he may spend some time coming up with something new based on your feedback.

He is very interested in finding out what players want and writing that material. And in a very balanced way, too!

I very badly want to play a Time Thief, and will someday.

I liked almost all the time stuff you've put out, Owen, but I'll always take more!

(One of my all-time favourite 2nd Ed books was Chronomancer by Loren Coleman.)

Here is my 2 cents. I love Owen's Time Thief, Time Warden, Masters of Time, Mythic Menagerie:Ravagers of Time, and 7 time warden & time thief feats. I own them all on pdf.

IF Owen ever decided to make a compilation of all of these pdfs into 1 big compilation book, and sold it as a pdf and a print on demand option, I would PURCHASE it in a second. I would throw my debit card at the computer screen. I love the price cost of pdfs, but to have this all compiled in a beautiful, all organized softcover or hardcover book would be AMAZING!!!

Maybe Owen will read this. Fingers crossed.

When it comes to messing with time we have two classes:
The Time Mage in Champions of Magic literally messes with time (rolling back their own personal time, better haste spells, etc).
We also did to Wolong who is a strategist who has some odd time-like mechanics (they exist outside the normal initiative order, can interject actions, etc). It can be found in Dragon Tiger Ox or as a free PDF in our collected goblin ration PDF.

I never get tired of hearing things like this. :)

That's actually The Plan. I just need to finish the last book in the series, The Genius Guide to Time Magic, and then we can work on the compilation.

Ah... yes?

Also mechanically like the Time Thief.

The Taskshaper (along with the aforementioned luckbringer) both of them have been updated with errata, archetypes, feats, and magic items in The Secrets of Adventuring (in print and pdf).

I have had the joy of playing the time thief twice (once was even in a game with Owen).

I like the Time Thief mechanics as it reminds me of Prince of Persia. Something along those lines that is melee. I haven't played it just yet though. These are all great responses thank you very much! The Genius Guide to Time Magic!? Can't wait to see that!

Grand Lodge

Genius Guide to Time Magic? One of my players will love that, he's been wanting to make his character feel more "Timey-Whimey"

Puts the Genius Guide to Time Magic down on his list to read.

Whitehowl. You can make a Time Thief melee based, its what I did in the Game I played in with Owen, as I went for a reach weapon that took advantage of attacks of opportunity.

You CAN make a Time Thief melee based, but they are pretty clearly leaning towards skill monkey support.

Now, if only there were plans for a Time Warrior class...

I would love a Time Warrior class!

Don't forget Little Red, you guys also created the phase round for Initiative for your Necropunk Campaign Setting, as well as classes that use/take advantage of it.

Perfect jumping off point for Time Warriors...

Any chance on an ETA for the guide to Time Magic? Will start Mummy´s Mask soon and I would love to have some exotic sands of time feel for my character.
