Because this was coming up in a separate thread and since the RAI is pretty clear, I'd like to get a thread going for this topic.
The clear intention of clerics and druids spontaneously casting spells by losing prepared spells is that you can only do this with spells from that classes spell list. However, the RAW does not reflect this because it was basically ported over from 3.5 with little afterthought.
A member of a previous thread noted that according to RAW there is nothing stopping a cleric/wizard/mystic theurge from sacking wizard spell slots in order to cast spontaneous cure or inflict spells. The same could be done for a druid.
I personally think this is silly and I'd love if it were clarified by the PDT.
(Warpriests are naturally included, but I didn't want to clutter up the topic title.)

I think a FAQ (frequently asked question) should contain a question.
This question could be applied to other class abilities that modify the "Spells" class feature as well. For example, Oracles have a Curse class feature, one of which is Deaf.
"You cannot hear and suffer all of the usual penalties for being deafened. You cast all of your spells as if they were modified by the Silent Spell feat. This does not increase their level or casting time."
Does this Class Feature only modify Oracle "Spells" or any/all "Spells"?
Same situation.
The question for clerics/druids is;
Does the Class Feature "Spontaneous Casting" only modify the "Spells" Class Feature from the class that grants said "Spontaneous Casting" feature?
Or, universally phrased;
Do 'Class Features' that modify the 'Spells Class Feature' only apply to the 'Spells Class Feature' of the class which grants the modifying 'Class Feature'?

All the classes are written with the mindset that you are only going to level in THAT class...certain classes mention "if, and, or" clauses when speaking of multiclassing that give you the rules for them stacking
Personally it seems pretty straightforward that its meant for their spells and spell slots only but I will FAQ if someone posts with the pertinent question in bold for the PDT...hopefully this will squash the munchkin rebellion
Also you should have read the sticky before naming this thread

As others have mentioned:
FAQ thread titles should not contain phrases like "FAQ needed" or even "FAQ". Please rename the thread to remove that reference.
Also, as mentioned, an FAQ thread should have the question being posed to the developers clearly stated (in bold as a courtesy). So to that end:
When sacrificing a spell to cast an alternate spell using the Spontaneous Casting class feature, can that be any spell the character has prepared or must it be a spell prepared in a slot granted by the class that grants the class feature?
