The Exchange

A Poem
Father
Mother
Child
Uncle
Sibling
Blood relatives
Hut
Cattle
Plough
To cultivate
Radish
Muddy
Footprint
Crow
To scream
Pirate
To attack
To thrash
To threaten
To intimidate
To March
Deck of ship
Waves
To deficate
Musty
Sound of sleep
To drop off
Bald
Slave
To spear
rhinoceros
To tan
Stained
To sieve
To stamp
To powder
To extract
Mica
Silver
To measure
Radius
Wedge
To crack
To move
To erect
To dam
To incite
Revolt
To overthrow
To pull down
To destroy
To laugh out loud
Cheering
To scatter
A Poem.

The Exchange

Im horrified no poets have put one up...

Rise like Lions after slumber
In unvanquishable number-
Shake your chains to earth like
dew
Which in sleep had fallen on you
Ye are many-they are few.

--Doodlebug Anklebiter, Poet Laureate of the Glorious People's Revolution

Vive le Galt!

1 person marked this as a favorite.

The unsatisfied women of Crewe
Prefer vegetables to me and you
They start off on green beans
When just out of their teens;
By forty, only pumpkins will do.

The Exchange

Mine reads better in Indonesian...every single word line ends in -ak. :)

Slipping through the night
a blade strikes true
illuminating hypocrisy,
then blunted by ignorance.
