Anyone know of a way to have a Griffon as an Animal Companion or Mount? Preferably in PFS?

There is a ranger archetype that gets hippogriff as a mount, Sable Company Marine. It appeared on Paizo Blog...

Griffons have an intelligence of 5, making them ineligible as an animal companion. Your options are cohort, or friendly/enslaved npc.

Now, could you deal 2 intelligence damage to a griffon, then take it as a companion?
