When i was playing the other night, my final location was shrine of lamashtu. It says "When closing succeed at a Divine check or banish a blessing."
My question is where can a banish a blessing from - Hand, deck or discard pile.
I had no blessings in my hand but one in the deck and a few in my discard pile.
If it's from the hand, which i think it is, my character died the next turn.
Sux to be me if it is.
Thanks

Its hand. Unless otherwise specified its always hand.
But why did your character die if it was your final location and you were closing it? Where was the villain?
Yeah. This ^^^
Also, you are reading the closing requirement incorrectly. It's giving you a choice of two ways to close the location. Banishing a blessing is not meant to be a penalty for failing the Divine check.

Well, if you want, I'll make sure no one figures out who you are in real life, and then you can pretend it was all Harsk having a precognitive dream warning him to be careful on his upcoming adventure. Then you can just start the scenario over again. With my services, you will need not fear that anyone will show up at your door looking to enforce the official dead character rules of PACG.
Also, you know that even though you get the damage from the blessings, you can still acquire them. If you do (especially easy if they are Blessings of the Gods) than the damage is really sort of only 1 damage, since you also picked up a card.

Thanks Hawk,
I've read a lot of your posts and they really help.
I know about the blessings. There was no blessing of the gods(of course) and I rolled and didn't acquire both.
I love playing this game so I don't mind starting over.
I'm new to the pathfinder games and I haven't played an rpg in about 25 years.
My wife does not play games by my 5 year old is playing with me, so I'm having a great time

Tough ending indeed then with that sequence of cards. My condolences. Send Harsk's family my sympathies.
I was soloing a character and while it was fun, I felt I missed out on a lot of stuff due to the fact no one character can use all the cards. So instead I tried playing 2. Then 3. Then 4. All the way up to 6. For me, anything above 4 was too much for one person to setup and play. 2 or 3 was best. You might want to try that. Maybe play Harsk and a spell caster.
I am in the same sort if boat as you in trends if experience. About 20 years since my brief, uneventful dabbling into rpgs.
And that is awesome about your kid. My wife plays with me. My 6 year old has asked about playing when he sees the box, but I thought it would be too complex for him. Does your kid play another character or do you cooperatively play the same character(s)?
