Arcane Archer Prereq

Advice

After character creation and without taking a level in an arcane spellcasting class, is there any way to acquire the ability to cast, spell-like ability, or supernatural a L1 arcane spell through feats/traits/etc.?

rogues can through a rogue trick, but I'm sure there are better options.

A Rogue can take "Minor Magic" at a Rogue Talent at 2nd (granting a cantrip), and may then take "Major Magic" at 4th (granting a 1st level arcane spell).

A Qinggong Monk can gain a 1st level arcane SLA at 4th as well (there's a list, but true strike is one of them).

The best progression for an "arcane" archer is IMO:

Paladin(/FIghter) 1 / Wizard (Scryer) 1 / Eldrich Knight 5 / Arcane Archer 4 / Eldrich Knight 5 / Hellknight Signifier 4

or

Warpriest 1 / Wizard (Scryer) 1 / Eldrich Knight 5 / Arcane Archer 4 / Eldrich Knight 5 / Mystic Theurge 4

At least one lvl in a spellcasting class is essential anyway in order to have a class to progress its caster lvl with your AA progression. The best feature of AA is Imbue Arrow and the best supplument to it is Antimagic Field, meaning that you need to be a high lvl caster in order to achieve it.

Scarab Sages

Pretty sure that rogue and monk are your only options for a L1 spell. There are some traits/feats that give a level 0 spell, but not level 1.

@ Sarrah - What exactly is the situation for this character?

After reviewing the Arcane Archer, half of the AA's benefits require you to have an arcane spellcasting class.
