Hello, I am looking for some advice on a high magic campaign. The theme is elements. Everyone will be cosmetically Human, but mechanically, they must choose from Ifrits, Oreads, Sylphs, or Undines. The "race" they choose will affect a lot: Ifrits will have cold vulnerability, Oreads will have electricity vulnerability, Sylphs will have acid vulnerability, and Undines will have fire vulnerability.
I'm also going to restrict playable classes to those that have Class Abilities/Architypes that enable picking a single element for specific class functions, and then only being able to pick from those specific variations of the class. For example: Clerics must choose the Domain matching their element for one of their Domains. Sorcerers must have the [Aquatic/Boreal/Marid] [Deep Earth/Shaitan], Efreeti, or [Djinni/Storm Born] Bloodline. Wizards must choose an Elemental Arcane School matching the element of their race. Monks must be Monk of the Four Winds Architype, and they can only choose the element matching their race. Barbarians must be Elementalkin Barbarian Architype, and they must choose their opposing element. Any elemental-themed Rage Powers they select must fit the flavor of their race. I'd also like to do something with Rangers and Favored (Element) Enemies.
So what I'm really looking for is if I missed any applicable classes, and any advice on how to balance this. Sorcerers and Wizards seem way better off with the ability t cast Energy Resistance to protect them from their opposed element.
Thanks for any input@ :)
