There are people on these boards I no longer wish to have to see. Is there in fact some way i can block a person ? I havent been able to find it.

This is a reasonably common request, I think the most recent thread for discussing it is probably this one. Short answer, we don't have that functionality in the messageboards but you can block people from private messaging you.
