They're just added to the general pool of traits you can pull from. They don't overlap with the four standard groups or campaign traits.(and thus don't prevent you from taking any of those other traits) :)

Sorry, Mikaze, I just understood they weren't "racial traits" but "race TRAITS" (like "social", "combat", "religion" traits) and deleted the question... just as your answer arrived.

They aren't referring to "racial traits" like darkvision or energy resistances with "Enlightened Warrior" and Speech of the Wilds"; they are referring to options for the traits, which are optional "half feats" some DMs give out at character gen. Does that help? If not I think I misunderstood you.
