Me and my girlfriend just got the bbeginners box and we have a question about sharing the exp from mobs, if a monster gives 100 exp when it dies do we both get 50? Both half or do we both get 100

You each get half. This reflect the fact that in a party of two, you are doing more work to defeat a single orc than in a party of twenty, but less work than you'd do as a solo.
