Coupla great pieces on Fukushima:

One from kinda right about now:
Another meltdown right now?

The other from the "first" meltdown
36 signs the media is lying about fukushima radiation affecting west coast

THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE

Watch out for strange people oozing glowing goo from their eyes and mouths.

1 person marked this as a favorite.

Levity aside, this does sound like it's getting near to out of hand.

Is there any confirmation of this from a non-tinfoil-hat-wearing source? I mean, we're taking seriously a report from the Turner Radio Network? This isn't Ted Turner, the guy behind CNN. This is Hal Turner:

Harold Charles "Hal" Turner (born March 15, 1962) is an American white nationalist, Holocaust denier and blogger from North Bergen, New Jersey. In August 2010, he was convicted for making threats against three federal judges with the 7th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals.

In particular, he has a history of making up inflamatory stories:

In February 2009, Turner posted an article to his blog entitled: "FEDS GRANT EMINENT DOMAIN AS COLLATERAL TO CHINA FOR U.S. DEBTS!" claiming that a secret agreement had been made to allow China to physically take U.S. land, in the event of a U.S. default. The story then went viral and was posted across the internet, including most conspiracy and extremist right-wing sites and forums.

I dislike radiation as much as the next illithid, but the only "radiation" I can confirm in this case comes from this wing-nut's fevered brow.

As was stated in the comment section, the photo was of an oil refinery... You'll have to excuse me if I am not ready to buy a rad suit just yet.

That's actually pretty refreshing. Hard to do research on this sort of thing from work.

This would be the perfect opportunity to defictionalize Nuka Cola.
