So, I've got this really fun idea for a Kobold dragon herald, which I am calling Tarka for the moment. Basically, she is a sassy, sexy little kobold, dedicated to the cause of good (gold scales) & to help kobolds enter civilized society. She believes the reason Kobolds become evil is that the other races force them out and treat them as nothing but evil, leaving them little choice in the matter. She like to break prejudice, seduce races that normally wouldnt be interested in kobolds, and doesnt enjoy hurting others. In the end, I want her to be a little reptilian angel, singing above the din of battle and empowering others. Her best friend would be a redeemer paladin she met at "evil races anonymous"
So, basically, I've got a Skill Monkey/ Heavy support build to propose here. She wont be able to hurt people much, but by her mere presence all shall be strengthened.
Race: KOBOLD! (day raider, jester alt racial traits)
Traits (golden scales, indomitable faith)
Stats (25 pts)
Str: 8 Dex: 14 Con :13 Int: 12 Wis: 12 Cha: 16
1 Flagbearer
2 Versatile performance (dance)
3 Draconic Aspect;
4 +1 con
5 Lingering performance
6 Versatile performance (sing)
7 Draconic Glide
8 +1 cha
9 Great Fortitude
10 Versatile performance (winds)
11 Draconic Paragon
12
13 Extra Performance
So, any other ideas? At the beginning, flagbearer will basically be inspire courage for free.
I thought about draconic breath, but the fact it runs of CON and not CHA kinda sucks (unless you're a sorcerer). I'm not open to multiclassing.
In any case, I'm unlikely to ever get to play this creature, but she seems like a fun character, with fun flavor, and decent support abilities.
A question:
Would "dragon voice" (the dragon herald ability) be used if you got diplomacy/intimidate from "versatile performance"?

I've got a build made up. It couldbarely hit the side of a barn (eh...) but it does have a lot of tools in it's cap to help others. Havent finished the spells yet though.

Not at all related to your concept, but I have had an idea in the back of my head for some time to build a Kobold Crossbowman (Crossbowkobold?) fighter 11/Sniper rogue x. Dex damage to crossbows, Deny Dex to AC on all shots, so you can stack the Kobold fighter favored class bonus to damage and sneak attack. Only one attack per round, but it really hurts.

I love that little kobold concept. Reminds me of another very special kobold bard.
As for the build, lingering song seems to come in a little late. It's good to have, but it sees its most impact at the beginning (1-3 or so). By level 5 you should have plenty of rounds for whatever you run into. It still deserves a slot, because its awesome, but can you squeeze it in at 3 and delay Draconic Aspect? Maybe?
Also, did you mean to boost Cha at lvl 12? I assume yes, but its not up there.

@choon: draconic aspect & lingering performance where originally the other way around; but then I found flagbearer which is basically inspire courage (constant) at low levels, so I switched it. However, it could easily come in at 3, maybe to help out some of the other performances like diplomatic immunity. Which there was a decent replacement for distraction though.

I'm rather leery of teamwork feats, if only because you've got to be at least 2 people with them (unless you're a cavalier of an inquisitor). Plus, there arent much interesting teamwork feats (though there are supposed to be some new ones coming in the ACG).
Anybody know where I might find some pics of female-looking kobolds. I know kobold (being reptiles) arent as sexualy dymorphic as humans, but part of the character is that she's trying to better fit in with "human/elven/etc" society. So, if anybody has seen any kobolds in dresses, I'd be interested to know.

It's true that flag bearer does lessen the need for lingering performance. Now that I really think about it, it's probably slightly better as you have it.
Lune had a decent idea there, but you would have to work closely with another party member to ensure that it was used. If you can do that, then its a decent way to 'prove' your helpfulness/non-evil-ness. Lacking that, I would just stick with what you have. Good build. :)

I have built a battle herald before; in any case I agree it is good, but the kobold just has too many weaknesses to be a frontliner (as I see it, the battle herald is a frontliner/support dude); -4 str, +2 dex, -2 con make it a very poor combatant (even when dex-based). I like the battle herald/bard/cavalier combo, but it simply wouldnt work for a Kobold (i think). I think it will get more from being a monoclassed dragon herald (and thus get rebuke foes, dragon's lair & others) that will better suit the kobold.
