Cleric / Bard Hybrid Class Idea - Help Needed

Homebrew and House Rules

The Tunecaller

Clerics and Bards provide the best support to a party's efforts. So, in terms of game play it seem reasonable to combine the two classes. In terms of style and flavor it makes sense that deities would empower mortals with holy songs rather than holy texts. Here's what I have so far.

Call the Tune: Each deity has a piece of music they hold dear such as a melodic mode, a marching rhythm, or guttural chant. When the Tunecaller calls the tune they provide divine support for their surrounding allies. This is an amalgam of Channel Energy and Bardic Performance.

Wonder: The bond you share with your deity fills you with mystical inspiration. At 1st level, choose one feat you possess. The bonuses provided by that feat are doubled. At 5th, 10th, 15th, and 20th level you may select an additional feat to be effected this way.

Lead to Reason: You can use your music to break enchantments on sentient targets.

Favored Instrument: You begin play skilled in performing the particular instrument that your deity holds most dear. All deities have a favored instrument just as they have favored weapons. Add class level to performance checks.

So, here's my question for you all: What do you think are the favored musical instruments of the Golarian Gods?

Evangelist already exists.

So do the Swordlord, Buckler Duelist, Free Hand Fighter, and Dervish of Dawn, and yet the Swashbuckler was made. If the OP finds the evangelist unsatisfactory for what he wants to do, making a homebrew hybrid class is a perfectly valid solution.

As for the OP's question: I don't really know about the rest of the deities, but I know for a fact that Zon-Kuthon favors the Bagpipes. Cause, you know, god of torture and all.

Was merely pointing out that a cleric/bard hybrid already exists in case OP didn't notice.

Khrysaor. This is a thread for a hybrid class idea, not an archetype. And thank you, Craft Cheese.

Thanks tips

Well I'm not sure this will help but you could call the performance mechanic, if you plan on having one, hymns. Another idea, and this one is mostly dependent on the feel that you're looking for in this class, you could go with the idea of a choir or in some cases a chanting mob and allow for the tune callers party members to help him maintain his performance for free up to a cap. It could also lead to some inter-party conflict from members of opposed religions.

Just a thought
