The tall man quietly drinks by himself at the back of the bar. Dark skin, angular features, long silken black hair, with small beaded braids. Upon one eyebrow is several piercings and scars, the other eyebrow is surrounded by tattoos. Hushed rumors are overheard: the man has sold his soul to a devil for incredible power. Little is known of where this man comes from, but the red-lettered tattoo script on his chest is written in one of the languages of the desert tribes to the south. It's from a holy text, they say, and it declares that Fate can be bent to the will of the very strong. Few have seen the man fight, and only a few of those who have even understood what exactly was going on. A mixture of ninjutsu and sorcery, blasts of searing flame and shadow.
The man gazes into his mug, absently turning a ring on his finger. A Sanctified Ring. Even those closest to him haven't been able to find out who is wearing the other ring. But whoever they are, they're still alive, and they haven't taken the ring off, either.
His original sir-name lost through time, people call him Bloodletter. Maldhruin Bloodletter. No one knows of his motives. He seems to only care about gaining more power, no matter the form. He looks up from his mug, and his gaze rips into your soul, piercing your thoughts, and you quickly look away.

He has the potential to do more damage than a pure caster, and I really like his flavor. There's a lot more work to be done before he can be fully playable, but yeah.
Oh, and his motives:
The nobles only saw him as a lowly desert rat that blew into town, but he fell in love with the princess, and she him. The different worlds surrounding them both would not let them be together openly. His goal is to gain nobility (most likely through sheer military force), so that he can marry her. This would make for interesting plot twists for the DM, and it would be fun to have mysterious motives in front of the other PCs.
