looking for a published monster.....

Pathfinder First Edition General Discussion

I seem to remember something like the Salamander, a snake with arms, no legs. Haven't been able to find it though. Anyone have an idea of where I might have seen it published? Or am I misremembering again?

A behir maybe? Or remorhaz? Lamia is similar to what you describe although with human features.

A snake with arms but no legs?

You already mentioned the salamander, so that leaves...

Marilith demons, Lamia matriarchs, and other things which I believe are the protected intellectual properties of Wizards of the Coast.

A Yuan-ti abomination would be the answer, unfortunately there were legal issues with importing those to pathfinder, but if what you recall could've come from old D&D materials those sound just about right.

I think the Marilith and Lamia Matriarchs were what I was remembering. I had thought there was a natural creature that looked similar, but I guess not. Thanks

Perhaps the tatzlwyrm? That creature first appeared in Hollow’s Last Hope, before being PFRPG-ised in Bestiary 3. ;)

Was it one of the asuras (Bestiary 3)? There's a CR 11 one that matches your description.
