Factions in RoW

I'm starting RoW for my players, and I want them all to be a part of the same faction.

What factions do you think would be good for this campaign? The Pathfinder Society I think would work well, because they could be charged with saving all of Golarion from the permanent winter, but they seem so generic to me.

I was thinking of using the Faction Guide book as a model and just create my own faction for them, but I'd like to see people's opinions on this first.

I think a religious faction might work well, especially Sarenrae or Gozreh. I was originally thinking that a faction tied to a country could work, such as the Lion Blades or the Ulfen Guard, but I am uncertain on why the characters would be charged to fix the world, as compared to just their own country.

Thoughts? Ideas?

There's a regional rangers base in the area of the town the adventure starts in, maybe the PCs could be part of whatever faction funds the rangers, and they were sent to look into reports of the local rangers disappearance and then just get sucked into the other events that lead to saving the world.
