Starting languages for Keleshite

Lost Omens Campaign Setting General Discussion

I am letting my players who pick human pick ethnicities, even though I don't have the Inner Sea World Guide yet. So I need to know the starting languages for a Keleshite.

Kelish.

You may find this and this relevant.

Oh - I realize you may not know that ethnic languages are in addition to Common (which is Taldane in the Avistan and Garund regions, which is where most of the setting books are about).

It's worth mentioning that while Taldane is the language referred to as "Common" in Garund, Osiriani is much more widely spoken there. Likewise, if you're heading to the Shackles, Sargava, or Mwangi, you'll want to learn Polyglot.

Liberty's Edge

It should also be noted that "Chelaxian" is not a language, nor are "Andoren," "Druman," "Galtan," et cetera. Most of Avistan speaks Taldane, having once been part of the Taldan or Chelaxian empires, or settled by people from those empires.

It's fun to imagine that Chelaxians, Galtans, and Taldans speak with slightly different accents, though :D
